A little about me
Hey! I am Clarence, a 36 year old business owner from Amsterdam, now living in London.
I love business, connecting with people and croquet. Yes, I do mean croquet.

A few details…
I was born in Amsterdam in late March of 1980. I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart, making my own money even as a child form different ventures, from washing neighbours cars to mowing their lawns, to clearing snow from driveways, to starting a little egg and milk business. I thank my parents who gave my very minimal pockets money. A friend of mine had parents that gave him literally 20x more than what I was given and found it quite unfair at the time, but my parents taught me well and thanks to that I earned my own pockets money. Apologies if my English isn’t the greatest.
I read many books about the Gold Rush when I was a child and found it fascinating how people saw an opportunity to make it big and grasped it with two hands. When the internet came along I had a thought that this could be my opportunity. I left school at 15 and and worked for an Uncles butchers but didn’t enjoy it. With the money I was able to save I invested in a new computer as my parents hadn’t had one at this time and paid for dial up internet.
I saw an opportunity to make a business from buying and selling domains, and was lucky to get in somewhat early. Within a year I had earned enough to leave my Uncles butchers and go it on my own. The domain business was my first business and it was a success. I sold that business and invested in other new and emerging opportunities online.
Since those early days I have had successes and some failures. Not failures exactly but businesses that didn’t perform as good as I had expected for. I have educated myself much over the past years about business and learned a lot. I am still own and manage several businesses but I had a thought to start The Big Society to help others to succeed. Maybe it will do well or not so much, we shall see, but it isn’t a business venture but just a free resource for like minded people.
Enjoy.
